WTF: inversion rant!!

This inversion (smog) is getting completely out of hand. LA never looked this bad. From what I've read, SLC has the worst air in the country right now. Brown air certainly can't be good for your health !!

To make it worse, I started feeling like I had a cold last Sunday (coincidentally) and it hasn't stopped. Winters and summers here have been a b*tch for me. Hopefully the rain will help:-\

I always thought inversion was what you would get when it just settles on the valley with that dirty water look.

Yeah, no kidding. After a few hours of being out of the inversion my headaches went away. :sick: I'm pretty sensitive to the air around me though.

Inversions do suck. They have happened every winter since . . . well, the indians native to the valley spoke of the brown fog.

I always get sick after the inversion hits. I'm trying a preemptive attack this year, but am afraid it isn't working.

We started going to lunch up Emigration canyon just to get out of the crap.

The Tooele valley stays fairly clean thanks to the wind out of the south....

I had a sore throat all week from the bad air until it rained on Friday. I hate the inversions here!

I love it at the ski resorts when it's in the 40's and sunny and the valleys are gross and in the teens.

Does anyone remember how sick you would get here in Utah Valley when the steel plant would douse our valley with the stink. I would get bronchitis every year.

I live higher up in the valley and I think I escape the bad air, at least when I'm at home. I don't get the sore throat like I used to in the morning.

I leave for school at nine in the morning and can see the temp drop up to 10* within a 7 minute drive. Crazy what it does.

You need to get up out of it and breathe some fresh air every once in a while, or go south where it is warm too.
