XJ Dana 44 swap into a ZJ

We picked up a 96 ZJ the other day and I was curious as to how hard it would be to modify a Dana 44 from an XJ to work on the ZJ ? I have a D44 laying in the garage that I was going to put in my XJ but since I am parting it out I would like to upgrade the ZJ unless it is too big of a pain. I know I would have to swap all the brackets and spring perches but what about the rear discs and ABS stuff ?

in my experience some d35's have the same flange as the cherokee 44, some do not. the breakes should swap right over if the flanges are the same. if not, we have redrilled d35 backing plates to fit the d44 flange, it was for drums not disks, and it was just to get by till we got the right parts. but it worked fine while it was there.
