Try, but the angle that the shackle operates is key to ride quality. The 1462's are longer overall and are arched tighter than stock, along with increased spring rate, which provides lift. This arch effectively shortens the operating distance of the spring eye to eye, which pulls your shackle towards the front of your rig. Make sense?

Reading this part again, is a boomerang shackle going to help with the fact that the spring shortened the overall operating distance?

A boomerang shackle isn't going to lengthen your spring any. The purpose for them is to gain clearance around the frame when the springs are flexed.... no?

That's kind of what I was wondering too. The only thing that I can come up with is that the additional length of the shackle itself is going to help with the angle the shackle sits at, IE going from l to \

Unless I'm nuts.

Brett, have you even tried loosening your bolts and tightening them under slight load ? I know with my track cars I need to lower the car or load the suspension before tightening things up or it will ride a bit higher.

That's pretty much the same thing that RE told me to do in their response, which is just binding the springs up.....

So, no, I haven't done that ;)
