XJ tranny help

I've got a 91 XJ that the tranny is slipping on, and I have 99 tranny from an XJ...what am I up against with this swap? Thanks all!

I think its a matter of different spline counts on the t case output. do you have the t case from the 99?

They should both be 23 spline but if not just swap the input on the t-case. I expect that's what he ^ was going to say but it should be a non-issue since they're both HO

Cool thanks guys! They are both 23 spline I guess I'm mainly worried about the electronics/connections.

Sensors will be different but they should be able to swap over

But from what I've read its possibly but you may have some TCM issues. Unless you manually control the shifting
