Just felt like gloating a little, was looking through thte KSL classifieds yeaterday for tires and found an add for a 1967 Mustang Fast Back, FREE, called and talked to the lady, here husband baught it years ago as a project, he passes away, shes lost the title and here kids have parted some of it.

I head down with the trailer to get it and when I arrive, its a complete 67 fastback, missing only the drivetrain and the mustang emblems. WOOHOO what a garage find.....

Gloating over, assume normal day.

I called a couple of SLC yards this morning and one of em has a 04' SVT Cobra that there willing to sell the drivetrain, wiring, etc for 1300$ so I think thatll be the route I take......vrOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOm

Im kind of dissapointed in the price of the drivetrain, I initially called and got a 450$ quote for it so without thinking twice I told em to put someone on who can take my credit card info and hold it Ill be right there. The next guy I talked to was like hes on crack and theres no way Im selling it for 450$, so now I get to wait and hope its still avail in a month or so.

Go with a 5.0....the modular motors are WIDE!!!! and a real PITA to wire!!

Ive just made things even more simple for me, grabbed a 400ci and C6 out of a 77 Merc for the donor......

And It is unfortunaty not a fastback, but still cool none the less, maybe we'll go street rod and chop the top off.

hmmm, call it sacreligious or what ever but I want to pull all the badges anyways (completely smoothed body), use an aftermarket hood, and completely modernize the car (new engine, tranny, etc). PM me with what you would want for it, I dont really have a place for it right now but for the right price I could bug my parents again
