Yj build help

I got a 91 yj tub and frame this summer. My plan was slowly gets parts for spring over with waggy 44's and 35" rubber. Well I just fell into a 1990 ford dana 60 front end. This completly screws up my build plan. So now it has me thinking 60's with 40's and coilovers or do I stay with my original plans for the jeep. My other option is my 1996 f-250 powerstroke has that crappy dana 50 ifs front end. The truck does not go off-road. All I do is tow with this thing. It only has 285 tires. There probably isnt a real need for the axle other than just to do it. So lets take a poll # 1 for dana 60 and 40's or #2 for the powerstoke.

option 4. stretch the tub and frame to that of a LJ. Do sprung over front to keep cost down. 4 link the rear and cut fenders to allow 107 wb throw on 37's for street use and keep the 40's for moab. Have one sick street legal rock crawler that you can throw a top on in cold weather that is low, long and the real deal.

I know what you mean... But don't let one "good deal" alter your whole plan. You will be able to trade that axle for a 44 or sell it and then you can put that money into the original plan. Just cause the dana 60 came your way doesn't mean you need to go that route.

Just do a SOA with the 60 and do a bigger tire. Why just because you have a 60 do you need to do coilovers? My CJuggy has 1 tons on leafs.

I had that exact rig for a while. It worked great. All the flex was in the rear, but that didn't seem to slow it down much.

I like option 4 a lot. My plan was doing the gen right high fender kit so I can get plenty of tire clearance and still keep this thing nice and low to the ground. I want the tires to be somewhat in the fenders so I can keep this jeep legal for the street. Anybody ever seen a write up building you own LJ?

i say go with the option of sell the 60 to fund the project that you had already planned, but that is with the bad economy whispering in my ear
