Yokohama geolander a/t-s opinions needed

It's time to get new tires for the 100 series. It's my wife's DD, as well as our camping/long trip car. I'm leaning towards the yokohama geolander A/T. My buddy had 'em on a rental jeep in canyonlands and the tires really impressed me. Thoughts? Are they well constructed? Will they handle offroad use ok? Also considering the falkens rocky mountain ats. I don't like the BFG A/Ts one bit, so I'm staying away from those. ANy other opinions for a rugged, durrable A/T that does well in the snow is appreciated.

I'm looking for a tire in the 275/70 R18 size

I bought a set for my ranger a few years back. I didn't wheel them a lot but they seemed to clear the mud well and they were very quiet. The price was also good compared to the other brands. I don't know how pricing is now though. I also felt they looked pretty aggressive for an a/t but that's just me. I would get them again.

General Tire makes a great AT called the Grabber AT2, Also I ran the Procomp Xtreme AT's on my runner for about 3 months they were quite and got great traction off-road. I can get either for a great price. On the Geolanders my bro in law had them on his Dodge 1500 for about a year. They started wearing all weird on the tread but that turned out to be just a set of lemon tires

I run them on my work trucks in the winter. they don't last as long as bigo a/ts but they are good in the snow and mud.

I am not a big fan of the BFG All-terrains either. My dad put a set of Hankook DynaPro ATM's on his Chevy Silverado 1500 and he loves them. They have done well in the dirt while out shooting and fishing. They are not the most silent tire out there but they are not annoying either. They are a reasonable price and would run $187(Discount Tire) per tire in the LT265/75R16 flavor. That should be similar to the size that came on your 100 series. I don't have an opinion on the tires you mentioned because I have never used them, but thought I would throw in another option.

I love the hankooks. I had 'em on my wife's runner before it got totalled. amazing tires. After seeing Moody's 4runner with Big O A/T's, I was reminded how much I loved those on my taco.

I was all set to put the Geolanders on my ZJ. But went with Falken Rocky Mountain ATs instead. Deeper more aggressive tread, quiet on the freeway. But unknown on snow as we haven't had enough yet.

Those were on my 4Runner when I bought it. I put them on my Ultimate Jeep before I sold it... they were louder than my MT/Rs... for realz.

BFG has a new rugged terrain that I thought looked really good. I'll try to find a link. Here it is http://www.bfgoodrichtires.ca/tire-selector/name/rugged-terrain-t-a-tires

Had Rugged Terrains on my Ram 2500 CTD when we bought it. Hated them- terrible snow/ice traction.

On the Geolanders, that is what was on my Montero when I first got it. Did not keep them long since I wanted larger tires, but was surpirsed by how well they did in snow and mud.

Recently put them on my Chevy 1500. Too soon to report much (only had then since November) but no complaints.

In October we out the Hankooks on the Ram, so a few years down the road should have an interesting compaison.

Went back to BGF ATs on the Montero.

I have them on my super duty. 30k+ miles on them so far and they look nearly new except for the shoulders that wore more quickly as a result of worn ball joints (on the back now).
Great traction on snow and ice.

And they worked well offroad dirt mostly.
And in the rocks the one time I had to recover my Jeep with the truck.
