Thanks Elder Sami and Stripeshirtman for the help, and thanks George's tube works for the doors. I drilled out the hinges for a 7/16 bolt so I can just pull the bolts to switch back and forth. So far, at least one chick digs 'em.

George (in Colorado) is selling them for $170! 1.50" .120 wall tubing, with a rubber stopper inside the latch area. I just had to get some steel pins to latch them. He should have a few pairs to sell at EJS, or pm me and I can give you his #.

BTW, I painted them and added the pipe insulation, and check out my sweet mirror (look closely).

cool.
where is the latching mechanism? Do you have a picture of it?

There is a rubber piece inside there, so you push the door shut and it compresses the rubber a bit - then you push the pin into the hole. I have since added a flexible wire to attach the pin to the door so they won't get lost. The doors latch very solid, and don't rattle at all even if you shake them for all you're worth.

C'mon, don't sell yourself so short. You pulled your rig out of my garage so I could pull in and work on the doors. Thanks! :redneck:
