Very cool! 3 yrs later, that's amazing. I'm surprised it was still semi-assembled. So after it's in your possession, then what? That's a decent drivetrain, but the remaining parts are pretty shot, aren't they?

Well, I'm not sure but I guess I'm going to try to build it back up. I didn't get a chance to really look it over but it appeared everything was still there. It looks like all they did was cut the body off.
I pushed the ignition button and it cranked over but didn't start.
If I keep it, I'll be taking the rest of the body off and cleaning up the suspension and drivetrain. Then I've got to find some decent body parts and go from there.

Well, I spoke with the detective today I have to say I'm not very impressed. I spoke with a detective last week on Friday and he said he'd be in court all week this week so he told me to speak with his partner who I called today.
So I called him today and it looks like they aren't even going to try to prosecute anyone. I have to say, I've had two vehicles stolen from me and both times the police force has been almost completely useless. The detective told me they can't look into the storage units, they're not even going to try to find who put the cruiser into the storage facility. When I mentioned that there was a jet ski there and they really aught to run the vin on that he said he would review the file and get back to me but that it wouldn't be for a while.
uhhhhhh, all I can do is sigh because. I think it's rediculous someone can take someones vehicle and be so dumb as to get caught but then get away with it just because the police force doesn't feel like looking into it.

Have you talked with the guy that owns the storage place? I have worked with him on some stuff and he was pretty cool....PM me and I can give you a little more insight, maybe.

I sent you a message. Maybe something might come from this. Since all the storage units have their own pad locks on them I wonder if he has the ability to get into them.

For once I would like to not have to do my own detective work.

That's just not right. If they don't do anything we should do a covert operation ourselves. :bryson:

If I get the VIN to the jet ski I can run it. It was brought in by the same guy that brought the cruiser in. If it's stolen there's something to go off of, if it's not then the guy must own it and there's a place to look for the rest of my cruiser.
