So, the article doesn't say the the Onstar installed in HIS vehicle reported him speeding. Isn't it possible (likely) that another driver saw this jackass driving terribly, end pressed the Onstar button in their own car, and reported it to Onstar. Onstar subsequently called the police to report what was reported to them. That makes a lot more sense to me, since I doubt Onstar's GPS resolution could tell the reliably which lane a particular vehicle is in.
