Took this the other day, but I drive by it almost every day. That poor 3500# axle.

Since I was 8 years old, I've wanted was to ride a dirt bike fast. Like Malcom Smith fast. Last Saturday at Yost I got as close to that as ever before. I didn't win but damn I felt like I was cooking and the bike was on rails. It was sex on wheels.

Mocked up gauges. The dash will be chromed. Just need to layout my light and ignition switches and drill the holes.

It's 60s hot rod stuff! This car is chopped enough that it's not likely to be all that much of an issue. The first time I saw a car from the era with a chromed dash, I was all in.

Here's a survivor kustom. Not a great pic but when you're in the presence of this car, you can tell, this dash was an absolute attention grabber.

Back in high school @spaggyroe had a ‘73 Bronco with a chrome dash. I always thought it was pretty cool.

Got my dad's oxy/acetylene tanks swapped out today. He bought them when I was 9.
Those are the certification dates. Also, the little window use to be a swastika.

I haven't seen one of those in a long time. When I was working at Electric Boat I saw a few, along with stamps from the 50s and 60s. It's amazing how long those cylinders can last.
