Pic of the day? Does night count?
A late night (more accurately an early morning) with the @utahoffroadrecoveryteam in western Utah’s Skull Valley mudflats recovering a pair of stuck 4x4’s. The first recovery was a front axle mire and came out easy enough with a quick double line winch pull and light anchoring.
The second vehicle got stuck en route to help the first stuck albeit ending up in much deeper mud and a more difficult site to access. Despite being just a short distance from each other, the land between them was standing water on top of the nasty clay/mud bottomless ground. There was a 0% chance of doing both extractions from the same side.
We spent hours digging, placing Maxtrax, winching, anchoring and kicking the mud off our boots but in the end both recoveries went quite smoothly. Even as the sun came up, smiles and laughs were plentiful. Good attitudes and competent team members make these projects successful!
