I've been out the last couple of weekend's looking for place's to wheel but cant really find anything really challenging. The place's I have found that do offer a challenge are old ravine's/ditches and that's bout it.Of course i've found rock ledges, rock formation's/pile's and such and but there is no road's to these and I'm the not the type that just make's a b-line through the brush and start tearin this sh!t up.
Ditche's/ravine's look like fun, have every obsacle you could have.I dont see any harm in wheeling these since they change year after year due to weather. How are trail's made, land use-open range(which is everywhere here)-BLM.How were the trail's down in UT made such as RS/Con-Little moab, etc.?I just want to wheel that's challenging, fun, and most of all doing it without pi$$ing people off.How to go about it and what's your thought's on wheeling?

Thank's..... :)

Sounds like a good topic for our Land Use experts.

My feelings, if it ain't a road/trail already, keep off. The only time I have gone against that has been along the shores of Lake Powell at low water levels- assuming it will shortly be underwater again. I wonder even how wise that is since the lake is staying low.

I am looking for some land that has what we realy want to play on. There is some in eastern Utah that is cheep. You can get 10 acers for about 75K. It is all sand stone and ceder trees. I hope to get about 70-100 acers and drop a cabin on it. If I do you all can come over to my house and play :D

Private land is also the other great solution- buy your own place to play.

I hope that is a typo. That is $7500 per acre, which is not that cheap. I know someone who bought about 110 acres in Roosevelt right next to some of the old ARCA events, and it was about $40,000 total.

Tough to get any accurate figures out there right now. Oil and other interests are putting prices all over the map.
