Alright so it's not extreme, but it was cheap fun...here's my story. Seeing several “Low Buck Build” articles in four wheel drive magazines over the years has always made me want to try it for myself. So, In March of 2010 I purchased a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ with 160,000 miles for $900. It came from the factory with the 4.0 Liter inline 6 engine, NP231 Transfer case, Chrysler Torque Flight 42RE automatic transmission, Dana 30 front axle with 5-297x U-Joints (thanks to the ABS option), and a Dana 35 rear axle. The seller told me that the transmission had just been rebuilt but needed to be “serviced”. 2005 Unlimited Rubicon 70,000+miles K&N intake No muffler Budget 2in lift 33in tires, just put them on. I have no pics with new tires. 1968 International Scout 800 345 V-8 Dana 20 t-case 4 speed for now but looking for an IH TF727 Scout II Dana 44 front, open diff 3.54's, knuckles cut and rotated 5* Scout II Dana 44 rear, open diff 3.54's Scout II springs, sprung over axle I bought this scout about 3 years ago from the second owner, bone stock. I then picked up an old chev to wheel, needed money and sold the scout about a year ago. I sold it to cruiserhead, he put in all the scout II parts, and then I bought it back. It still needs quite a bit of work to finish all the swaps and get on the trail, but its a scout, its cool.
