The batsignal went up, so here I am.

I share Kurt's enthusiasm: name names! Who banned you from meetings? I welcome everyone. In fact, I like people who might object even more! Come one, come all.

First: I don't know your name, so I can't send an irritated email to our membership guy.
Second: Fraud? please. This stuff is not that hard to track down. I get Paypal notifications when people sign up that way, with a little digging I can trace people's memberships.

I guess my renewal fee will just be a donation.

Andy...
Seriously grow up.. first if the only place you complain is on an unofficial location such as this you are bound to get little traction.. U4 does have a website with email addys and phone numbers even.. here let me click 3 times and provide you with a link to all of the contact info for U4 you could ever want http://www.u4wda.org/index.php?p=contact. Now you can call Tacoma without bitching to the whole world that nothing is getting done.

U4 has had serious issues with their membership process since Meat left the position, I have seen you comment on some of those threads so U4's failure to get your membership should not be a surprise to you and if you choose to be a member you probably have to harangue them a bit to get your membership done. -- is this the way it should be, NO but it is the way it is :D so suck it up buttercup -- And why would you choose to be a member of something that you feel you are not allowed to be a part of (Real or imaginary)? do you like throwing your money away?

P.S. your constant complaining still gets my hackles up

I should not have to get after them like this just for a damn renewal!!! Its BS!
You would think that taking care of their members would be high priority.
Otherwise people will be reluctant to renew each year.

They need help, its a 100% volunteer group, be part of it.

So you can monitor the fraud, but you can't fulfill memberships. :)

If the appropriate person does not know the problem it will never get fixed. This is now in the hands of the person that can fix it, the President and the Membership Director. And yes we need help, so volunteer some time and come to the meetings.

I agree. Membership issues have always been, and continue to be, a major irritation to me-- since we shouldn't be having any, should NEVER have had any, etc. Memberships are where the rubber meets the road for a volunteer organization.

It's not my job to fill memberships... but you know that, as a former U4 President. ;)

For the record, since I don't mind naming names:

Muddyjeep says Todd Adams gave him the high hat. Ok, Todd's entitled to do or say what he likes. However, I extend the invitation to whoever wishes to attend any meeting. If you'd like to argue about stuff at a meeting, I'd welcome that too, within reason.

Membership processing takes a committed individual who will consistently spend the time to stay on top of it. USA-All has had its own membership isssues in the past, but that was solved a year and a half ago when we had someone step up to the task and commit to it. U4 needs one of those individuals......anyone out there willing to commit a couple hours a week to help out?
