Ok, fan motor swapped out, low speed rewired and tested the cooling in the Cafe Rio drive through. Stayed at 190 the whole time.

It's far from ideal, but the last couple times I've needed to do that, I used a pair of ratchet straps. Crank one strap to pull it...

Is that an unusual condition for them? Confusion seems like a chicken's natural state.
