The MARS mod on my FT3DR was easy remove rubber plug. Grab resistor with needle nose and twist then reinstall plug. I think it is about the same on all Yeasu radios

I guy I worked with started a concrete lifting company it used a two part foam. My back porch was pumped 6 years ago and is still good. We was using it to lift a bridge for the city. I would make sure you use a foam instead of the sand slurry companies.
We had a master battery switch's on our work trucks(around the same year as yours) and if you flipped it off while the truck was running it would kill the ECM.
I have never broke one of these extractors yet and this was in a coal mine setting where everything gets broke
