100 Dusty Miles, and one month later, both of the plastic polishes have faded completely. You can still see the stripe of untreated down the middle just a little bit. They look pretty identical to me. But if I focus really hard, I think I would have to give the nod to the SC1.
The Sc1 definitely wins the super shiny contest win first applied… But also attracts dust easily.

So, I guess we are looking for one of these now? What are the observations so far? Use for a year or two and then never again?

I'll cut you a great deal on one! For real. My wife will be pissed.. but i'm over it.

It's fun.. but the amount of time and effort per use is not worth it for me. I intentionally use it more often just to make myself feel better.. but I wouldn't miss it.

We are starting to get serious about this ourselves. If you want it gone, let me know

I bet if you let the chickens in for a soak they'd start laying more eggs.

Also, hot tub party? I'll bring the ben and jerrys and dr. pepper.

2 years, 3 months later. My overall opinion is that hot tubs are a luxury item that require considerable maintenance and cost. Therefore, not for me.

What do you think your yearly cost of ownership was?
It’s hard to say. I realized I didn’t want to know pretty quickly.
My best guess is $50-70/month for maintenance and $40-50/electricity.
The chemicals come in bulk, so we buy every 3 months or so.

I forgot what I paid for it, and I don’t have a clue if I’m over or under selling.. so I can’t speak to depreciation.

In reality I would keep it if my wife would use it. She REALLY loves to have it, but rarely uses it. I use it fairly regular, but only because I’m paying for it. I’ll be fine to see it go.

I think if I were to start over, I’d do a big expensive bathtub. No maintenance, no chemicals. Use or don’t use.

@Tonkaman Do you use that big expensive shower often? That might also be a good way to go.

The monster shower was really a gift for Elaina. She will sit on the bench with 3 shower heads blasting her until I kick her out. It is super nice to have take a shower together and never be standing in a cold spot too.

When it’s just me I almost never use the bench or multiple heads. My favorite it the digital controller with preset temperatures, the water is always perfect.

What are your maintenance items that are so expensive. I spend a fraction of that and My power cost is quite a bit less as well.
