This was my/our first time there and I thought it was awesome even though it was dry. It's on my list for next spring to catch the spillway flowing.
I am constantly reminded how awesome Utah is. I am still finding cool new places to visit after 30 years of exploring.

Thanks for the shout @benjy and @cruiseroutfit. I'm glad it made its way to you safely and that your wife likes it Ben.

That was the first elm bowl I had finished and its a great wood to work with. I got it from a house a couple streets away from home that I passed while a tree crew was cutting it down. I flipped around and asked the crew if they'd leave me some of the trunk which they agreed to do.

10 and a half hours driving on 145 miles of dirt roads today setting up a Poker Run for Wasatch Cruisers and got treated to an awesome sunset.

Got delayed because I didn't take any recovery gear or my chainsaw with me. In the space of an hour from the time I passed through this spot, a tree fell across the road blocking my return.

After an assessment of what I could do, I decided to drive down to a Church Camp in search of a chainsaw or anything I could use to reopen the road.

Nobody had a chainsaw, but the folks at the camp produced what I assume is an old wire winch rope and a couple of screw pin bow shackles.

I made my way back to the tree, hooked the wire around the tree and then to my truck through the safety chain hook on the hitch and drug the tree out of the way.

I returned to the camp again and returned the stuff I borrowed and continued on with my day. All in a great way to burn some fuel and spend the day!
