If a lawn tractor can push snow, maybe I can build a better case for the lawn tractor (I'm sure a 4x4 ATV would be the thing to have there). The snow blower I got from @BCGPER will handle most anything I've run across.

If it's really only about 15-20 minutes of time savings, I would save the $ for other fun projects.

I've had a craftsman rider for maybe 25 years that just wouldn't die. I replaced it last year with a few year old scag standon zero turn that was an ex-landscaper machine. It is literally shocking how much better the cut quality is on the pro mower. I don't know if everything has just gotten better in the last two decades or if the pro stuff is just way better than consumer - probably a bit of both.

My lawn tractor let out the the booms and smoke today. Turns out, I should have checked the oil recently... she was a 2013 craftsman and I guess it was just her time.

I'm half thinking about rigging the deck to pull behind an ATV to chomp up my back field. Probably a cheap HF engine to spin the blades would be pretty simple.

I have a similar amount of lawn. I had a riding mower for many years along with a trimmer, edger and 21" walk behind. I now pay $35/week and save 1.5hrs per week plus 50 sq-ft of things taking space. I can count all of the days I miss mowing my lawn on this hand.

Take your wife out on a date each time you would otherwise be mowing the lawn. That's wealth.

I have a Honda walk behind and a John Deere s-130. It was on clearence at Lowe’s for $900. I paid $500 for my Honda walk behind. I use the Honda at rental houses and used it at my house when I’m laid new sod. I designed sod and sprinklers to be rider mower friendly. I wish I had a zero turn but that’s too rich for me now. I have a lot less grass now to justify a riding mower but it cuts so much better then the Honda walk behind I don’t want to get rid of it. Plus my boys love riding in the trailer behind it. And I have the aerator and rakes and spreaders that work with it.
