Maybe all those so-called celebrity crackpots who have been threatening to leave for years, will finally do so... Of course the $1.00 Italian houses being offered, are real fixer-uppers.
Ya, but if the property is free then you're ahead...plus things are cheaper in Europe. Better access to better food, better healthcare, better schools, more personal freedoms. All the things that we tell our citizens exist here ;)

I've spent considerable time in Italy, and all over Europe. I am always glad to come home.

My closest neighbors family legally immigrated from Italy, they regularly visit the family members who still live in Italy. The neighbors like to visit, but they are glad to be American citizens. Take from that what you will.

What I don't understand is WHY these whiny so-called celebrities think anyone cares where they live. As far as I'm concerned they should shut their self-important pie-holes, and go already.

There was someone in the office that was blabbering about moving to Europe because of the election. Although there are benefits to European systems or regulations, I see the tax brackets and no public land as a massive downside. And I don't know what I would do with my safe full of boom sticks....

I don't understand. Are you asking for insight for why you don't understand why you care so much about these people? Or why celebrities think people care where they live? I can't speak for why you care so much, but if you want my opinion about why celebrities care so much it's probably because they get paid more the more their name is out there being circulated. I mean, we just elected someone who's entire business model is based around keeping his name in the media and keeping relevant by keeping people talking about him. Trump rode that train all the way to the White House...twice, so clearly some people are getting value from keeping people like you talking about them. That's probably why. 🤔

Agree but I don't think access to good craft beer is better there. At least I have had a hard time finding it.

Some of the finest crafted beers in the world are in Europe. Depending on your taste, maybe all of them.

But I would totally agree that European versions of American craft beers are pretty bad.

A lack of craft beer is a problem I'm not worried about being able to solve for myself anyways.

Nah, it's just fun to call their whiny ass bluff. They think they have a bigger say because they are famous and have more money. They are shocked to find out that we don't give a shit about them as much as they would like us to.

WW3 will not happen in my lifetime, thankfully. We are all too soft and no one wants to actually face the depravation of cell phone service, let alone actual hardship.

And I’d argue to say that it has already started. Ukraine, Russia, North Korea, Iran, China, the US ($), apparently Britain is being pulled in as “directly involved”, with other NATO members on high alert.

Chinese ships are being investigated for intentionally cutting communication cables (aka sabotage) between Lithuania and Sweden, and then another between Germany and Finland. France, Italy, Germany, Poland, and Britain are all pointing the finger at Russia and China.

“A conflict is considered a world war if it meets at least one of the following criteria:
-It takes place between multiple nations across the globe
-Battles are fought in many different locations
-The war is fought against great powers with significantly advanced technology.”

Yea, we’re there.
