We are WELL into Christmas season and I'm JUST starting to feel "Christmassy", whatever that is. Usually I'm in from about the 5-10th or so. Are other people in the same boat or is my isolation from working from home just a real thing?

We JUST put our tree on Sat. That's a sin for some, I'm sure. My wife and I are both not feeling the season. Is that elsewhere or just at our little chunk of the world?

I feel you... My wife and I got sick with COVID the past couple of weeks so Christmas had to wait in my household as well. We're putting up the tree tomorrow when my kids and grand-kids will be over. I'm looking very forward to it. I'm hoping I feel more Christmasy after that.

We put up our (real) tree the week before turkey day this year. Then I did lights and the Grinch cut-outs (2 of them)... so you could say I've felt Christmas-y for a whiiiile

Maybe it has to do with your hometown and past events... 😁

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
I’d love to have the Christmas spirit. I just don’t. My dad died over Christmas many years ago, but it has really hit me hard the last couple. Seems to be headed that way again this year. Can’t seem to shake it. It doesn’t help that I hate how we spend our Christmas Eve and day. I’m pretty miserable twice over and that doesn’t help anyone I’m around. I’ll put on a smile and fake my way through it. 😬

That's a challenging situation that I'm sure I can't relate to. Sorry for your loss. I just had a 47 yr old neighbor pass this past week. Kids are 17, 15 and 11. Can't be easy

Just couldn't get to it this year. The only thing I bought was an abominable snowman throw pillow....so I have that out. Seems pretty good. .

I love being around my family. I hate the material nature of Christmas. This year will be the first without my brother and I think it is going to be really hard on my mother and my nephew. So I have mixed feelings all around. My wife loves shopping, I mean Christmas so she has been her usual jovial self and that really helps.

I love Christmas, the lights the music (in moderation) and serving in a lot of ways. Go ring a Salvation Army bell, work at a soup kitchen, shovel your neighbors driveway, ect. The more people I help the better I feel. I get drug down by the money and shopping but if I can keep that to a minimum and focus on Jesus' birth it is great.

I usually like it but am reserved. My big thing is baking my mom's pumpkin chocolate chip bread for all my friends and neighbors. I add to the list every year and my wife gets annoyed. I just delivered 7 to workplace employees....and it brings a smile to my face.
