New garage shop construction - light gangs or outlet gangs for lighting?

Thanks for the suggestion in the ufo style lights. Two of the six showed up today and I couldn’t wait to try them out. Plenty of light. My ceiling is 12’ so I went with 150W.

Cool thing about the UFO lights that the light salesman divulged to me - and I don't know if this is the case with all of them - but the wattage/output for all the different light models they sell is simply differences in dipswitch settings on the same light. In other words, all the lights (100w/150w/200w/etc.) are all the same light assembly, just set different from the factory. Unscrew the small metal cover on the housing, adjust the switches and bam! - you now have 200w lights! Kinda sneaky IMO, because they charge more for the higher output (settings), but whatever...

But, if in the future you wish that you had bought 200w lights, you did!

haha that wouldn't surprise me in the least. I'm going to open up one up and check to see if mine are like that

Are these lights still going strong? I ordered 6 of the 150w for my garage. I think I’ll probably just need 4 but extras are cool.

Yep, still really happy with them. The price has come down on them too, so I may just buy another two to keep as spares for the long haul.

To give you an idea of 6 150W lights at 12' - Plenty of light!

So I really haven't been very happy with these lights long term. I know I said I was happy with them a year ago but I didn't realize what was going on.

Don't get me wrong, the light quantity is great, but I think I'm sensitive to the LED flicker. After a while of being in the shop I just find myself not wanting to be in there. I didn't realize that it might be the lights until a while later. These things flicker like crazy, not exactly noticeable by the naked eye but it's there. I've come across other people who have expressed similar issues with these cheap chinese lights.

Hard to explain. Could honestly be something else but I'm going to start here. I've just never been a fan of led lights in general for some reason or another.

Anyways, I've been on the look out for an alternative and found this company today. They claim their lights don't flicker and are even better than an incandescent in terms of flicker.

I wish they had a UFO style light but at this point I'm willing to try anything. I'll probably go with these

Anybody have experience with waveform?

The frequency/flicker freaks out my phone camera and my ring camera. It's the only thing I don't like about the lights. I'll attach a screenshot of my ring cam to show it.
