Got main structure for the top done tonight, Corys dragon and all of his hard work R&Ding this made easy work of this! Gonna change the front of it to match my likings but the rear was perfect to me.

Got the main structure welded out, now to do some re-designing of the headache bars and cut out the lacing pieces then from there it’ll be linking it, front truss, reassemble axles and she will be a roller

And the rear has links. The actual links will be hest treated 2x.25 4130 chromolly and the upper will be chromolly as well. Tomorrow we will get the upper brackets designed and burned in too

Got the rear link setup burned in and them reformed the top of the axle truss so it wasn’t so blocky.

This may be a stupid question but I’ll ask it anyway. Why are you running the upper link heirs on the horizontal plane instead of vertical?

Easier to mount and they wont care. Uppers should only get loaded in and out really and there is plenty of missalignment in them. Lowers should be mounted conventionally since they see high side loading when smashing boulders.

Looks killer, like the perfect mix between a comp rig and trail rig! How wide is the chassis?

I built the dash tall because most the time you are crawling you are looking out from under the dash. Also that's a ls f body pan and it's only 1/2 off the bell skid plate. That drive train is as low as it gets

Plan is to angle the hood bars down a skosh and narrow them in, gotta get the shocks here first though and find their desired home before we start slinging more tube

That’s the end goal for me with this. I wanna be able to hit werocks then the trails right after. As Cory stated it’s 52” which is what my last chassis was and even with our broad shoulders we sat in it pretty well
I like it, very functional. I really like the angle on Jesse’s hoods. I was iffy on it at first but it grew on me.
