I have family commitments Friday night and Saturday morning. Is it acceptable to show up early in the afternoon hoping to tag along on a trail run? I'd be bringing my 4 and 8 year old boys along for the ride.

The wife actually enjoys car camping with the kids, just not in the cold. We were camping off the Pony Express Trail the last week in October this year, and even with the huge fire, tent heater, warmers in sleeping bags, etc... that's about as cold as she wants to do. Kep.
