"NEW"- 99 7.3L long bed crew cab manual - mbryson support vehicle

That's a nice truck! I just got ride of some nice OEM 18" Alcoas. Literally gave them away. Would have spiced it up a bit.

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Replaced the transmission cooler bypass valve on Mama's Audi today. I spent forever trying to figure out where it is because every other Audi in the universe sticks it near the driver side wheel well, but because this thing is supercharged it's hidden on top of the bell housing behind the...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Fixed an ignition cover today. Tried @zmotorsports recommended TIG parameters. I need to perhaps get a bigger cup and to be more comfortable playing with balance but they seemed to work well. I have trouble getting my plasma column small enough. The "cone" sometimes seems too wander or widen...

For sale my 2013 KTM 125sx 2 stroke magic. Built for me to Motocross with no expense spared, but I realized I'm more suited for desert still.... Again.... 😅 Chosen as this is one of the lightest years available with a claimed weight of 200.2 lbs it feels like a MTB! Chassis has 230hr but was...

    Budget offroad trailer build

Guess what?! I found it in the web archive! I win again! I used to have most of this stuff in my head 20yrs ago when I did my first axle swaps. @Greg we need to find a way to save this stuff. Old knowledge that would be hard to gather again...

04 LJ Ls swap with GM NP241C/4L60E

You'll probably need to see if the 231j front 1310 cv yoke will fit the output spline count on the 241c. You might get lucky and be able to swap them. (Off the top of my head I want to say your 231j output is 27 spline?). (It looks like the 241c yoke is a fixed yoke 1350 ujoint).

What did you work on Today; Home Edition

So not really for my home but Tables for an assisted living project. Building plans changed and they wanted the tables 12" shorter. Enjoyed a wood working project for a change. And the weather was pretty cool outside so we worked in the shade. These are butcher block looking veneers so a little...

    Spotted

My friend (he's an upholstery guy) just bought this van. It's pretty funky. He's planning on ripping the interior out (including the man sized cat box which his rottweilers LOVE). What do you think?

04 LJ Ls swap with GM NP241C/4L60E

You don't have to do the clocking ring IF you're ok with the cross member drop. You'll need a cv rear driveshaft built with a SYE. So pick a SYE with a 1310 cv yoke or 1350 flange (so your driveshaft builder can build a cv off the yoke.) Jeep uses a 1310 at the axle side. But 1350 is nice at...

04 LJ Ls swap with GM NP241C/4L60E

Needed now? Maybe not. But pretty necessary for any future mods. I wouldn't go without it if you have more than 3" lift. Even on a LJ. You could check if it binds at full droop if you like.

04 LJ Ls swap with GM NP241C/4L60E

Generally speaking a 241C that came behind a V8 motor is going to be better and stronger than a 231J. For the same reasons listed above wider chain and an extra planet. I cooked a five planet planetary from a 231J in my doubler. I replaced it with a six planet unit from 231C and tacked the...

I've used Gordon's in Bountiful with good results a few times. He's fully staffed with guys over 65 so it's always fun to listen to the old heads knowledge everytime I go in there.

Fixed a broken upper shock mount on a Sherco yesterday. (It'll get painted blue when the matched paint arrives, but no sense in letting it rust in the meantime).

Maybe 350-400 (depending on the damage) but that's wholesale including a vertex piston. They won't sell without a matched piston these days. Smart IMO
