Gear / Accessories Yankum recovery ring

I watched the video earlier, more of a curiosity thing because I don't have a winch still... :D Casey did mention that in a double pull setup the line is supposed to go through the inside of the ring so it can't slip off and saw at your shackle if the line goes slack.

    Anyone into 3D printing?

Yes, I think pla should be strong enough for a filter socket as long as the stl is designed well enough.

I'm in the hair spray gang. Build plate at 65 helps things stick also.

    Lighten the mood

He lived down the street from me about 15 years ago. Used to fly around the neighboorhood with his powered parachutes. It was post-totally awesome and I think he was trying to figure out what he was doing in life. I had one of his daughters in my sunday school class. I did go shooting up on the...

    Most Trustworthy Wheel Adapters?

My sister lost a 37" wheel/tire on her JK on Hwy 6 coming back from Moab... Not sure what brand of spacer she was using but they were constantly tightening the lug nuts down on them. I run a set of spacers on my Tacoma and locktite the inner lugs along with the different lug nuts that are...

    Pi-Hole vs. AdGuard Home

I'm running pi-hole just a basic install, no parent controls, no add ons. I thought setup and install was easy there are just a few things that pop up every now and then that I work around. Example, the stupid google ad stuff that shows up at the top of a search need to be ignored and you...

What did you work on Today; Home Edition

I guess it's one of the advantages of secondary water and living on a hill. :D City shuts off water in October, gravity drains most the lines, and I built the system using Poly pipe instead of PVC so it won't freeze and break anyway.

The Car conundrum, what to buy.

Got a co-worked that bought a crosstrek wilderness, I can't get over all the gold accents, not sure what Subaru is thinking there. It rides nice, he said it has almost as much ground clearance as a Tacoma :D google says Taco at 9.5" and Crosstrek at 9.3.

    1. Most printers will have a heated bed, I don't think you'll see much to differentiate there. Print speed is definitely a consideration as well as print bed size. Print temperature is a consideration if you're doing ABS or the higher temp filaments. This is where you need to ask yourself what...

    Trail Mater

I've come to believe that sometimes things just aren't ideal all the time, there isn't always a winner and there isn't always a looser. Sometimes getting a truck out of the bottom of a canyon isn't pretty. If you don't want a truck sitting at the bottom of a canyon you have to be ok with getting...

What did you work on Today; Home Edition

I'm living in a non-hoa area, every couple of years the city comes around and tells people their weeds are too long or they can't have something on the street. The house next to me hasn't has grass for almost 5 years. It sold last year and I had hopes the new neighbor would do something but it's...
