    Grandmas Skylark project

I'm having a hell of a time believing that total timing is at 55*. Whatever it is, it doesn't matter as the thing runs WELL From TA performance where I bought the distributor: If initial timing is set at 14*, the most advance I'd see is 36*. 32-38* is commonly ideal for 455 Buicks (I think...

    Grandmas Skylark project

I found a tune up guy. Lee at Family Auto in Bountiful. He fixed a couple things I'd have never found. Unbelievable difference in this car. He talked me through swapping in my purchased HEI distributor. There's a resistor to the ignition coil that drops voltage to 6 volts from 12. The HEI...

Rock Slide Engineering slider install -- '21 Gladiator (JT)

So, not a motor. The only other thing is the control module. Sent an email into rockslide. We'll see what they come up with. That doesn't appear to be a service part (231016z2r138 is one the UPC tag on the unit--does not google)

They seem 4-Runner sized to me. Is that just the styling and they are actually big old barges like the 200 or are they more 80 sized?

"NEW"- 99 7.3L long bed crew cab manual - mbryson support vehicle

@ebryson did some pretty precise work hacking the old harness and putting in a new weatherpack type connector. Trailer harness is good to go last week sometime. I just funded the project while he rolled his eyes at my "skills" in wiring. We moved onto fixing my trailer brakes for our wiring fun...

    Can we talk dogs?

Love the 'triever pics! It's tough when they go. Is yours the hyperactive do everything 'triever or the lay around in the sand type (as pictured)?

They are nice looking for sure. I'd assume that they have decentish (at worst?) performance being a hybrid?

Rock Slide Engineering slider install -- '21 Gladiator (JT)

I've wondered if there was a way to tap into the dome light or door ajar circuit (scary on a modern vehicle, I'm sure I have no idea) somehow and trigger the steps off of that? Not sure that's wise at all but getting rid of some of the complexity of the harness would be a good thing. There's got...

Rock Slide Engineering slider install -- '21 Gladiator (JT)

...and I'm replacing a passenger motor again. This will likely be my last repair for these unless they are totally reliable for the next couple of years. They are functionally REALLY nice and built solid as far as the steel and such. I'm frustrated with the wiring harness, the door...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Rock Slide has been exceptionally good about working through my sensor issues with me early in my slider/step life. We'll see how a motor goes

    Rot Box’s Superduty

Seth was the CJ5. Beech had/built it to my recollection. I agree that the pictured rig is a TJ. I can't place the build at all I'm curious what @I Lean or @Vonski would point to on the cage, fenders and suspension. Kind.of generic looking to some of us, but those that built the rigs at the...
