Like wise on friends. From my very first memorial run, I meet Stan Fuller and Greg and others. I have learned a lot and wheeled a lot and met so many good people. Likewise, if it wasn't for off-roading and this fourm I would have very few friends.
Well the buggy now has 5.13 gears in the front. Hopefully 5.38 in the rear soon.
The reason for the 5.13.
I discover this while wanting to put on a new Yukon diff cover. Well the diff cover was a little bit oversized and I felt like it would be a major hook issue if left alone. I purchased a...
My cousin tunes LS and with some minor tuning and a couple simple bolt on upgrades there is significant power to be made. Too bad he is in Southern Utah. I bought my 1998 LS1 camaro from him and he also tuned our 5.3 that lives in the buggy. I can reach out to him for advice if you'd like.
I suppose this is a safe enough space where it would be friends making fun of me.
There is a neighborhood in Hurricane that they shut down for Halloween and most houses go all out with decorations and people flood to this street to trick and treat and people do the monster mash dance and...
They said it would put them to close to the reccomended minimal spec by Ford. Even though I tried to explain it was on a vehicle half its weight they did not want to do them. I felt it was out of laziness. What I did worked great for my needs. New softer pads added so hopefully the brakes and...
I feel pretty fortunate where I live. I was lucky enough to score a nice house (bigger than I ever needed) on a decent sized lot(.50) I will never have back door neighbors related to a flood plane and I positioned myself to work at the new ER 3 mins away. Still a smallish town (quickly growing)...
6-8 months ago I discovered a loose front pinion nut. I wonder if it happened then. This axle and gear set was also under the XJ for a year before it died. So It has given me some good life.
So, I decided to change my front diff cover and check the gear oil in it. It was very black and sparkles in it. I found these in the bottom of the diff. Looks like the pinion decided to lose a little of its teeth. Fortunately I have a set of 5.13s sitting in my living room for it.
What do you do when no one will turn rotors anymore and your two cheap and want to save $225 dollars. Rotors bolted to the buggy. Buggy in gear spinning the rear axle.
