what's the harder job, moving the springs or grinding out part of the pumpkin for the narrower width?

swapping axles under a yj and staying spring under. Going to do a shackle reverse. They are wagoneer 44's. would it be better to stay in stock location or do like a full width kit. what are the pros and cons of having leaf springs mounted wider or narrower?

I saw a jeepster at little moab with a one link in the back. It was a few years ago. He had 42's and a v8 and it seemed to work pretty well! He used the u bolts and leaf perches.

If im correct the spring width between a wagoneer dana 44 and a yj dana 30 is about 3/4 of an inch? So for a swap is there enough play to just swap them or whats the best route? Im talking about stayng spring under, new perches? would that involve cutting part of the housing?

well my neighbor is selling it. my address is 4237 alice way. thats 3005 west. He is just three houses down from me if anybody is interested. Its in his front yard. He wants two hundred bucks for it. Its in a cradle and has two lights mounted on it.

My plan is to finish with the cage and install the lockers. Fix the tranny, shorten and dovetail the rear. A shackle reversal front, shackle flip the rear. Then wheel the snot out of it! And the usual stuff like bumpers and maybe some boat sides. My plan is a cheap build up. So far so good.
