Pictures that I shot. Critique and comment

The second fountain is a nice shot and composition, interesting backlight it puts the fountain in. The the lights at the top are blown out (ie overexposed) wich is a distraction, without them the image would be easier on the eyes.

    No Country for old men

I saw this last week, I'm one to normally avoid such a violent film. It is fairly unpredictable at least right up to the traffic accident near the end, I saw that coming for blocks, just couldn't tell after wich block it was coming and what happens next puts you right back at unpredictable...

    Cloverfield

Caught the late show last night, My brother and I had the theater to ourselves:D. I agree it is worth seeing. It was much more enjoyable than any Jurrasic flick, wich isn't saying much really as I hated all of those, but still this movie held my interest very well and the camera work well you...

Ever see a Utah bear or mountain lion?

Mountain Lion, 1, Squaw Peak Rd - posted a photo of it here once before. Bobcat, 1, near Dead Horse Point - briefest glimpse before it disappeared, attempted to track it but found nothing but plenty of old scat lying around. That's about it, only 2 bear I've seen, on seperate occasions darted...

    Epic Southern Utah Excursion

Bravo you guys! No captions needed as this brings back fond memories of our 05 Loose Screws Tour, We didn't do a Tour this year due to conflicts but I'm glad somebody was out there running expedition style through the backcountry! Thanks for the report. If I'm not mistaken, these shots are...

    Henry Mountains... what/where/when

That's about all that is there, some mining roads that are gated as you near the upper ridglines IIRC. Well, I usually drive past the campground, up and over the top, then down to the reef and hit the Burr Trail on my way to somewhere else. First time I explored more of the roads, but I've...

Wide screen LCD and PC Gaming?

My non technical reply is - There's really only two games I've wasted time on with the widescreen, FSX and Red Orchestra, dell widescreen looks and works great on both, only glitches on one particular Red Orchestra map, and only indoors. I think any new game in the last couple years is going to...

    Wheeling dilemma

I have been getting close to reaching the two Rigs system (plus cheap commuter), only one rig to go. The cherokee for intermediate to scenic and long distance runs is exactly how I always envisioned it as a finished project (just needs a winch). The Comanche to be done for the next level of...

    Hitr

Nice map Alex, brings back memories. Now I need to learn to make these maps with that old GPS you gave me. I remember that goup in the Rincon, waiting for them on the switchbacks due to a snapped leaf spring for like an hour or more.

    A Swell Easter

I chose those photos because of thier ambiguity, a couple of shots I uploaded are dead giveaways for at least one of the trails anyway. So I like to show less known scenes from trails in the posted photos. And I like to give clue's Clue #1, the two pictures are from two different trails in...

    A Swell Easter

Are you implying I shouldn't give NAXJA preferential treatment over RME?:D And they are all in the album anyway, larger versions at that but if your too lazy to click the link...;)

    Petroglyphs

No excuses for you, just make sure your camera battery is charged and memory card empty (I'm still kicking myself) and get over to these right outside of Vernal just up Dry Fork at a signed turn off! don't miss the one you have to climb a rickety old ladder to get to either...

    A Swell Easter

I'm going to make an effort to post trip reports on RME this year after slacking a bit last year. Weekend before last while many were in Moab for EJS I hit the Swell, San Rafael that is. Link to captioned photos taken during a quick Saturday tour of offroad routes along the I-70 corridor...
