Thanks, I appreciate it. No, I haven't been able to do that yet. If i had the proper tools at home, I would just cut them myself but I don't. Right now the instructor just wants us to focus on stacking the beads. (actually the rest of the class is still doing single beads on the flat plate...

    TY-J already built thread

The price difference is worth it in my opinion. Does the "guy" have any contact information? I currently have a TJ with no drivetrain and those sound like very reasonable prices.

    Helicopters/drones for filming

Would you recommend the BNF version or the ready to fly version for starters? The ready to fly version comes with the DX5e controller and the BNF requires the purchase of your own controller. man I should stop reading this thread, now I am going to have to start another hobby because of it.

Here is a couple more passes using a new machine. I can't remember the name of the machine but its the top of the line miller (school just upgraded). It seems a little harder to start the arc but it sure runs great during the weld.First 2 passes are 7018 and the last is 6010. I also ran a...

can anyone look up a carfax for me?

Turbominivan, are you still able to run a carfax? I bought an LJ and im trying to sell my TJ to pay for a truck and I was hoping for a carfax on the TJ to help it sell. If you can, let me know and I will send you the VIN. If you can't, I understand. Thanks! PS your inbox if full. -Corbin

The smell? Haha that's interesting. I wear a mask when I weld so I don't breathe the fumes or smell much. And thank you. I should start some fillet welds next week. As soon as I can weld at home I should progress a lot more.

Hoosier's Jeep XJ (Yes another XJ build)

Did they say why you need the 03/04 knuckles? I don't remember there being a difference in the knuckles from 99/04. the only reason I can think of for why they would suggest the 03/04 is that they will have better brakes attached to them. but the older knuckles will be able to accept the...
