Where to go for short getaway, preferably using 4wd...

I'll get one in price on the way. The Swell is a definite go! After looking at everything, pics and video, I'm really excited. It'll be a good opener for my WJ. Is everything down there fairly well marked and easy to find if following the map? What would you all suggest for routes to spread...

Does the BLM map list out all the routes/markers you suggested?

So, now that the destination is determined... what's the best map to get so as not to spend too much time driving aimlessly? Any particular thing to see along the way?

I think this is what we're leaning to, honestly. I think the stock rig is backing out. So we have: ~ 2003 TJ lifted, lockers, armor, winch, 33s ~ 2002 WJ V8 lifted, limited f/r, armor, 32s ~ 2003 Isuzu Rodeo lifted, limited rear, armor, crap 31s. I think it would be good to see it, be...

He corrected me yesterday. Mild (1") suspension lift and slightly oversized Cooper ATPs. Thanks for the heads up. As it's his wive's DD, good to know. I've been all over Left Hand and Hardware, up Logan Peak. Beautiful area, if not overly challenging. The rock garden and Providence Canyon...

That sounds awesome to me, but Anthony is the deciding factor and he likes harder stuff. A dirt road or two-track probably won't cut it for him...

    Finally signed up

Yep, would be clear, or minimal snow that wouldn't pose an issue. I'm up for something.

Sounds like a cool place. While we're not looking for anything ridiculously hard core, the option of something more than just a dirt road is appealing. I don't usually count dirt roads as "off road." :D Our initial plan was Wendover to St George on dirt (another DAA trip) but can't swung the...

Haha, thanks. There are a few mitigating circumstances that put Moab out of the picture, unfortunately. Love Moab, would really like to get back (after Trooper/Jiffy Lube fiasco), but that will have to wait until fall, most likely. Never been to the Swell, pretty sure none in the group...

Hey guys. A few buddies and I are planning a weekend (or during the week) away before one in the group has their second kid in June. Due to schedules and things we're having a hard time getting as big of a chunk of time as we'd hoped. So, I appeal to you seasoned wheelers/campers - where should...

    5 Mile / Rattlesnake

Crap... I totally would, but I have a scout campout tomorrow @ Horseshoe Springs. Then again, if the weather goes sideways, even that might be a wheeling adventure...

Water leaking.... your rig or your house? I've been a few times, way fun. I'd join for my first run in the jeep if my tires weren't nearly bald. :( New tires/rims next week. :D

Wanted Well I'm in scouts again... I need gear!

Yep, but ONLY to be used by the scout leader. Our boys are forbidden to touch the fire, unless they're getting it going or putting a log on. Too many burns, things melted, etc. Scour KSL for deals.

    1992 Isuzu Trooper

Mixed feelings, really. Had my wife let me keep it indefinitely, I would have. But, at least it's going to a good home. New owner was as excited about it as I was when I bought it. Asked all the right questions, even took it in the dirt on the test drive.
