    Anyone into 3D printing?

What, pray tell, do you print that pays the bills? Looks like cookie cutters but if you're running them that many hours a day you've got to be doing something else with them. What type of filament are you using? I know the object and what its for determines what filament but I really like PETG...

    Anyone into 3D printing?

I have a printer for a few years. I definitely don't print as much as I had been but its been fun to tinker with. I do print more in the winter than when its warm out.

My sun joe dethatcher/scarifier came this last week and I decided to take it for a spin this morning. I had read the scarifier is easier on the grass so I put that cartridge in. The blades are like straight tiller blades. I had seen pictures so I kind of knew what to expect but wondered how it...

    Help with my yardscaping plans?

With the cooler temps coming its prime time for that all to fill in. Look up the "fall nitrogen blitz" and consider blasting it with urea to really push it to grow and fill in. Another option would be to pull some plugs of good grass and transplant them to the bare areas. I've got the...

Dry ice will freeze everything in the cooler solid. You don't want to go that route for drinks. I took ice cream sandwiches on a scout camp and kept them in my yeti with dry ice. The co2 leached into the ice cream so that wasn't great but they were SOLID frozen. I wouldn't use dry ice.

Depends on how often you're opening the lid and how hot the drinks are that you are back filling with but I don't think you should have trouble with it. I did a wed-sat trip to bears ears with moody with mine and it worked great without ice refills. There are tricks with these types of coolers...

If that 45 size would fit I think the yeti i linked from ksl would be pretty darn hard to beat for the money. If all you need it for is drinks though you might consider something smaller. There are slots in the middle inside of the 45. I cut a hdpe cutting board down to fit in there as a...

The yeti's have the same footprint, narrower at the base. That griz is a copy of the yeti, just like the rtic. https://www.yeti.com/en_US/hard-coolers/tundra-45-cooler/10045150000.html <------------ dimension spec sheet.

when you say strap down do you mean strap the sides and keep the top available to open quick? I know the yeti has loops that can accommodate that, not sure about the others. For the $ though I'm not sure I'd be opposed to loosening the ratchet to grab a beverage. to stay in your size range...

    Protests

Go watch some YouTube videos on tasers. The corporate ones and the ones from dirt bags showing how to get out of taser-ing while the juice is running. Tasers just aren't very effective in the real world.

I mowed my front yard to 2" this afternoon and my back yard to 1.75". Both chunked a little and I'm thinking it would have been better to mow Sunday or even Saturday than go those extra days to today. Last week I mowed Monday and Thursday. I'm going to shoot for Wednesday this week and see how...

I'm not 100% on it but I believe that they use sand for a few reasons. For leveling because it's easy to add a bit at a time to bring everything up. It's easy to drag and sweep into the crown of the grass and it also happens to be nutrient neutral which means it won't affect your soil pH one way...

Connor said somewhere also that he has a well so he only pays to pump the water out of the ground. That and the lower high temps up there are both a big help I'm sure.

Yeah, I'd expect to mow at least a couple times a week. I'd also expect to need to water more than I do now but I'm not sure how much more, I'd still be watering less than my neighbors on both sides of me. One waters twice a day and the other three times a day. We've talked about it, they...

What I've read the process to get to 1" cut height from the more typical 3"+ is the following: - Dethatch to remove thatch and thin out the crown. Do this with a power rake, verticutter, seed slitter, or a dethatcher. - Cut lower than what your target height is. This will scalp to a certain...

I'm not saying its not the case because I've typically cut it in the 3"+ range but I'm thinking about going for it. I've been reading and watching videos for a week and think it might be feasible. My honda mower goes to 3/4" but what I've read is that without a reel mower that balances on drums...

Have you looked into reel mowers at all? I'm starting to consider one cause I'm thinking I might try and mow down to +/- 1". I'll need some leveling and some other work to get there but its on my radar.
