Also, I suppose I could always mock this stuff up with PVC eh?

    Radius arm basics?

I am looking into it to how I could, seems like a smart idea. I have these poly bushing rod ends for the axle side. Just need to figure out if I should do something different for the end, or if there is any sort of cartridge I could swap out. I wonder if any duroflex cartridges would fit in...

    Radius arm basics?

Thanks for the info! I've been doing some digging. Just to verify, is this type of arm setup that you are suggesting? Wristed arms seem to be the go to for many Samurai guys. Even the Rocky Road Outfitters coil kit runs a wristed setup, but except that none of the joints are adjustable at all...

    Radius arm basics?

As long as the suspension replacing it meets or exceeds the strength of the OEM equipment, it is not. I think some 1/4 wall DOM would pass that easily.

Well, I do. Guess I'm a minority :handlebars:

    Radius arm basics?

A 3 link would be ideal, but with the room I have under it, it would be way tight. If I'm not wristing it, what is the technical name for a non wristed setup? Would that be considered just an arm with the whole thing being solid except for the joints themselves at each end?

    Radius arm basics?

State law states, saying that any vehicle with a swaybar, must have it in place. If not, it technically does not meet state safety inspections.

    Radius arm basics?

I'm assuming R.E. is Rubicon Express? I'm trying to find pictures of their arms to give me an idea. Are they the ones that the upper link turns in towards the middle of the axle instead of directly above the bottom mount?

    Radius arm basics?

That's not the only reason actually. I want it to be stable on road, but also because it's legally required. Also from my understanding, a swaybar set up properly, can assist quite a bit while wheeling.

    Radius arm basics?

Thoughts on a single wristed setup? Eliminates the need to run a second wrist with a pin. I understand that the in the same manner as a double wrist with a pin, I'll probably have more sway. If I did this, I'm assuming I'd want both lower arms to be on the same geometric lines, if that makes...

Suzuki TDI Swapped Samurai Truck Conversion

When I "built" this thing the first time around, and stretched the frame, I used 1/4" plate, and tried to weld it all together with my little 110 miller. Let's just say I should not have ever attempted such a thing because I didn't have near enough heat for the 1/4". No point in hiding it, the...

Suzuki TDI Swapped Samurai Truck Conversion

I traded the guy I sold the rig to the hood from my other sami I bought, so I could get my old one back. Also got an auto tranny, a tracker 2wd 5 speed, other odds and ends. Also, when Lowrange closed the Orem location, I grabbed a bunch of Samurai high steer arms. Had mostly left hand drive...

I got it back with no front clip either. However, I did get the Suzuki Swift GTI seats back from him too, which I really like, so that was a win as well I suppose.

Suzuki TDI Swapped Samurai Truck Conversion

So, back to this! I deleted my other thread since Greg brought this back. Long story short, sold this thing back in May, was pretty bummed because it was my first car at 16, had always wanted to take it to Moab at least once, but then I sold it. Kept in contact with the guy I sold it to though...

    Abandoned vehicle purchase experiences?

I have done a couple the past few years as well. Just curious if I should go about getting a title as an abandoned vehicle, or just a bill of sale from the property owner. Technically speaking, he did buy the property as is, with the vehicles there, so I would assume since the seller did not...

    Abandoned vehicle purchase experiences?

For sure, I might even consider just leaving it on their property until I can go down to the DMV and try to file for a title. No point in loading it up and taking it home if somebody or the state is going to come after me.

    Abandoned vehicle purchase experiences?

I don’t know if they know them or not. The property owners do own a well known and seemingly reputable body shop in Orem, with several other locations as well. But they have no time it seems to get a title or deal with it. I might start with going to the DMV and seeing what they say.

    Abandoned vehicle purchase experiences?

Yes I was looking at it a bit ago. Looking at it now, I still don't understand if I can file it as such without being a licensed towing company. But also, that is for a towed vehicle. From what I've been reading, there seems to be a difference between a towed title, and an abandoned title...
