So i broke off a tooth on a gear that spines the acme thread that raises and lowers the drill table. It still worked with the missing tooth but i repaired it anyway. I finished cleaning the last of the pieces tonight and got some primer on them. General paint scheme.

Pic dump. all the small pieces are back on and lubed up. I had to replace two small set screws on one gear is all. One was missing and the other one i had to beat a torx bit in it and heat it up to back it out.

looks like a yota 8" setup right? You took the snap ring off i assume? I have the same set up and have never had one be stubborn coming off. I forget is there a pressed on spacer between the snap ring and bearing? maybe drill the spacer and split it with a chisel.

The moveing parts handles and knobs will be left bare steel. Anything cast iron will be painted because it is really rough. under the original paint was a small layer of bondo to smooth out the cast iron. Painting the cast parts will really make the bare steel "Pop!". Too much of one color and...
