    Ham radio guys

I have the Yaesu 7900R and my father has two of the 8800R's and we have both been very happy with it. I have been overall very happy with the entire Yaesu line. My guess is that most of the time the 5 or 10 watt would do everything you need. To give you an idea with my 7900R on 50...

    Ham radio guys

The new book will coach you for the new questions. But the concepts and knowledge wil be the same between them both. Plus the tests is not really that tough to start with. I am thinking about coaching my 8 year old through the test, so if he can pass it I am sure that you will do fine.

what gps to get for street and offroad?

My droid is a great GPS for around town, I am very happy about it. Off the grid a little it is terrible. Get away from data coverage and you don't have any maps, but that is not the biggest problem. They must collect "roads" from satellite imaging and the computer tries to decide what they...

    home HVAC work needed

Carrier N-Coil make sense. Today I tore into it and found that the 1/3 that I could see before was pretty clean, and to my surprise the 2/3 that I had to dig into to see was surprisingly clean. I was able to get a little out of there, but for the most part I don't think it is the problem...

    Artificial raingutter

Yakima sideloaders are half that price, and come rubber coated, bolts, washers, RTV to seal them, etc. Still kind of spendy but if they work it they could save you time and money compared to Thule Depending on how they are designed I would go with 12G or greater. Depends on what kind of...
