    A letter from Mike Noel

It would have been a great move for USA-ALL to let everyone know about an upcoming opportunity to speak to the committee regarding this issue. I hope that when there are future instances where users and activists are openly invited to speak before these committees that USA-ALL will give...

    Rally at the Capital

Interesting idea. If we were able to hang renegade OHV users, it would be the end to our access problems. When there's no longer any reason for closures, there won't be any closures. Then the "renegade land managers" we hear about can be exposed. An apparent policy by the "professional...

    "herjeep" safety&emi saga.......the nightmare continues

Why was it revoked? Are they scanning RME to see who is borrowing tires for inspection purposes?

    A letter from Mike Noel

The initial bill to allow ATV's to be street legal was passed last year. These are amendments to the previous law. These amendments change the new laws to exclude 4x4 buggies and larger OHV's. To answer the hypothetical, I'd say no. Many espouse the virtue of "united" motorized recreation...

    A letter from Mike Noel

Too bad Noel is the house sponsor for the bill to exclude 4x4 OHV buggies from the "street legal ATV" bill passed last year: http://le.utah.gov/~2009/htmdoc/sbillhtm/sb0022.htm From USA-ALL:

    Its really that bad...

I wonder what the "verbal agreement" is. If the officials with GCNRA are telling inquiring visitors that the Rincon is closed and that GCNRA routes are only open to street-legal vehicles, then it sounds like the county RS2477 claims are not being recognized. I keep hearing about the counties...

    SRP Permits

This was about 3 1/2 years ago. I heard about it from two sources from completely different OHV circles. At the time, one of them did tell me the name of the club involved, but I'm not sure I remember it correctly. I will try and re-find the specifics before adding more.

Some coolness from Barrett Jackson last week

Yeah, that was one of the cars I sold there. http://www.tributecars.com There was a lifted FJ40 in the sale (Thursday??) and a stock FJ40 in the consignment sales tent.

    SRP Permits

A collaboration of clubs and people have been proposing this as part of a broader plan to reclassify several routes as 50" or less. A few years ago, they went as far as trying to block the narrow pass by repositioning some boulders. They then reported to the FO that the road was impassable to...

    Its really that bad...

Unfortunately, some of the organized groups promote this line of thinking. OHV users are not the victims in the land use fight. OHV users are accomplices to closure. We'll keep losing access until we reverse this mindset (and do a few other things :)).

    SRP Permits

How do you feel about local efforts to close the road through Fix-it Pass to vehicles over 50"? Yes, I'm aware. Are you suggesting that Scott Edwards is fabricating his account of what happened? Local efforts get the best results for sure. I wish we had a competent statewide...

When was the latest Compass due out?

The last issue came out around Christmas, Fall '08 and Winter '08 combined into one. You should have already received it if your membership is current. PM Meat_ here on RME with your full name and address, and he can check it out for you.

    SRP Permits

I guess what I meant to say was, if they were working on those trails, I wish they had been successful, or if they hadn't been aware of the situation on those trails, I wish they had been informed about them. You mentioned that we should be thankful to them for watching the Price FO and...

    SRP Permits

Very nice to have a single page of text to summarize this issue. I wish they'd been involved in the loss of all the Price area technical 4x4 routes during the last RMP. The roads we ran 100+ registered participants on during our Fall Ride (11/07) are now closed.

Nice one. Dig that 340 out of the snow. Maybe I will trade it for a trans for your dodge.
