I dropped by again today to pick up some parts. The tear down has started, and with it up on the rack I got some better photos and saw details I missed before. There has to be many hours of work into making these axles so beefy. They look much better in person than in photos...

What would you cover your Roll Cage with?

I did mine with this and I wish it was better. It scrapes off easier than I had hoped for. And when you look at it close it kind of looks rough. But it is easy to paint over and touch up. I would go rattle can again, but would pick something different than this stuff.

Field Trip to Ben Hanks Racing

By they way.... My photos don't do the work justice. :-\ When you spend a few minutes looking at their work you start to see small details that don't stand out at first. My mind does not think enough steps ahead to pull off the kind of work they do.

Field Trip to see Jack Kesler Customs

While Jack was still taking care of business I wandered to the backyard to see what was back there.... Jacks other crawler. It is obvious he is not too worried about a little scratch or dent. I like the willys wagons. This one needs some attention. A CJ that had some...

Any Safety Inspectors Here or Vehicle Law Know-It-Alls?

The way I read it you can claim "vintage vehicle" without any questions. You may have to explain and/or do some fast talking to get it listed as a "Special interest vehicle" There is a chance with this cluase a motor vehicle of any age or make that has not been substantially altered or...

Any Safety Inspectors Here or Vehicle Law Know-It-Alls?

Yeah I am not sure how they read that. 2Bi was made in America prior to 1935; 2bii is registered as a vintage vehicle; or 2biii is a replica vehicle as defined under Section 41-6a-1507 So does that mean it has to be older than 1935 OR vintage/replica
