    Miller Motorsports Park craziness

Not closing. Still hosting races plus using track as research/development plus plans for building race cars at the facility. I have not heard anything about the kart track or off-road park, but logically hard to see why they would close either.

    Miller Motorsports Park craziness

It will be interesting to see what really happens. The developer quoted in the article who wanted to make the track profitable, build condos, office buildings and houses is probably a good choice NOT to sell to. Sounds like more dreams than reality for the area and I can easily see...

    S.B. 258

Grantsville is cracking down on people using ATVs to get around town. Local ordinance allows street-legal ATVs for access to and from trails but not for around town use (such as kids under 16 driving them to football practice, which is part of what lead to the crack-down).

    Henry Mountains exploring

I have been traveling past the Henrys for most all of my 46 years (this year marks 45 years since my first trip to Bull Frog) but have never traveled into them. Gives me a good reminder to put a trip into my schedule sooner than later.

Vehicles that can carry 3 car seats and gear?

One of those would be cool! Especially if someone would make a diesel version.

Vehicles that can carry 3 car seats and gear?

Width of the vehicle is far more important with kids in car seats than the amount of legroom. Unless you have a third row I think you will want a full-size rig. A smaller vehicle with a 3rd row is ok unless you need storage, in which case you are out of luck. We had a first generation...

    Alaska's Dalton Highway

I remember seeing a photo a few years ago of a grizzly walking along on top of the pipeline (it does go underground occasionally so there are places they could get on it.) Obviously not too bothered.

Vehicles that can carry 3 car seats and gear?

I'd drive that! But to the point of the posts, depending on how hard core of wheeling, would consider the following: 1) Tahoe. Smallest of comfortable rigs for 5 people and gear and could be mildly modified to handle moderate trails and camping. 2) crew cab or extended cab full size...

    Alaska's Dalton Highway

It is an area I certainly want to go back to. Would like to make two return trips to the Dalton Highway. One to fish the lakes and rivers along the Dalton, with the goal of reaching Deadhorse. The second would be to travel the entire length to Deadhorse in the winter. A January trip some year...

    Alaska's Dalton Highway

The trips have been great. My oldest daughter (now 19 and on a mission in the Philippines) took my wife to Kentucky. My now-17 year old son and I toured church history sites in up-state New York (plus some walleye and bass fishing in Lake Erie.) Creates some great time with the kids in what I...

    Alaska's Dalton Highway

View from Antigun Pass, looking north. Now we are onto the "North Slope" of Alaska as the rivers run into the Arctic Ocean. We stopped for lunch then started back south at MP 257. About 155 miles from the Arctic Ocean, 340 miles from Fairbanks. On our way back to camp at Marion Creek, we...
