Another tire thread! I thought we had talked about this one but I can't find it?

Ok, I'm home now and can get a better measurement. My MTR's with 9000 miles at 26 psi on 8" wheels measure in at 36.75 inches, so I'd say new they're spot on 37.

Go with the 37's, and learn to use the right foot a little less. ;) Here are some numbers for you (@70mph). 33"=2888 rpm 34"=2803 rpm 35"=2723 rpm 36"=2647 rpm 37"=2576 rpm And, as an FYI, my 1/3 worn 37" MTR-K's measure in right now at 36".

interesting old cruiser with Detroit diesel installed in 1968

Supercharger is gear driven, and semi-internally mounted. From the outside it's just a cover on the side of the block that you'll see. 50's Detroit in a 60's Toyota, nothing awesome about this.

    Portable Compressors

I've had the best luck with Viair. Not a single problem, but a bit expensive. I'm running a Puma now that was much less and has served me well, but I'm not sure if they even offer a 12 volt model any longer.

Locker or transfer case gears first?

This is 100% the way to go. But, since it's a Toyota, you HAVE to get the mandatory snorkel first! I'm purdy sure every Toyota owner must have a secret desire to be a submarine captain.
