UPDATED: "The old thread about the noob run at Hog Hollow"

Hey, mud hater... Kurt and I saw the twin to your mini truck last Saturday. I thought it was yours from a distance, but then Kurt pointed out the bed was different (this one had diagnal bars from teh back of the cab to the back of the bed), and it didn't have your bitchin front bumper as we got...

Fictionist - Local band going big

The cool thing about Stu's music from the 'Stu Man Fu' days, is that he'd just gotten back from his mission, locked himself in a room with recording gear, guitars, drums, piano, keyboards, violin, you name it - and didn't come out until he'd laid down a myriad of tunes that were most likely...

Fictionist - Local band going big

I like to think that our HS band really opened up the gateway for Rob's insane ability for technically creative sounds. Our sounds explored all sorts of effects that he played around with. I'll try to remember to copy some of the earlier Stu sounds for you.

Fictionist - Local band going big

I think he does. I know that they picked up an FJ Cruiser for daily driving. I haven't talked to Larry in a few years though..

Fictionist - Local band going big

I grew up around Robbie (dude with the whitemans fro), and we eventually ended up in a band together Junior and Senior years of Highschool, called 3Link. I followed Stu's Highschool band, "System", and still listen to the recordings that I have from them. THAT was a kickass sound; very raw...

Fictionist - Local band going big

A highschool buddy of mine is in a local band called Fictionist. In fact, we were in a band together during the 02-04' years. So this is cool to see a few buddies closer to the center of a National spotlight. Rolling Stone is hosting a contest to have the general public rank and vote on a...

Suzuki Steve's '97 4-door Sidekick Build (the real build thread)

Because of this thread, I notice every slightly built Sidekick on the road. Your's oughta be pretty slick when it's done with the transformation... Minus the motor. ;)

Suzuki Steve's '97 4-door Sidekick Build (the real build thread)

I speak from experience. Those are bias ply 33" TSL swampers.. They look huge. Those are easily equal to 35" tires on an FJ40.

Suzuki Steve's '97 4-door Sidekick Build (the real build thread)

Yes but, it's all relative. 33's on a Zuk are like 35's on a Toyota truck, or a Cherokee. ;)

2011 W.E.ROCK Event Dates for Miller Motorsports Park

If there's one thing that could be improved with this event, it's the recoveries. The MMP crew needs to take a few training sessions on how to properly recover, strap, chain, weight distribution, etc.. I hope to be competing in both events, but if not I'll judge or help out in some way.

    New Power Wagon

Awesome souvenirs stuck in the bumper! I dig it. If/when I were to buy a large truck, it'll be a Power Wagon.

Interesting read about the magnetic polar shift

Generally when there are large words jumbled together with crazy looking graphs that are over my head, I categorize those involved as 'nerds' who hang out in a 'nerdry' with fellow 'nerds'. More or less because of my own insecurity around those who are clearly smarter than myself on the "nerdy"...
