How much larger of a tire to guys get away with putting in the OE spare tire location? Ways to beef that up? Also, will the bumper limit how big of a tire will fit there?

The benefit to the tracks is that they would distribute the weight out.

Don't worry about leakage, just use silicone. My Xterra came form the factory with 28 holes in the roof, no leaks... yet. ;)
