RME March Meet & Greet - Come Buy Cody a Beer!

We could line people up and I can just shout insults at them. After "your mother was a snowblower" I may run out of material.

    Political So now what

Isn't the argument for gun reform that criminals will find a way to get guns regardless of laws against them? Can't that similar argument be made for immigration? I also would say that sexual predators/deviants and bathrooms is the same thing. A criminal is going to do what they want regardless...

    Political So now what

We have the right to bear arms, but unfortunately we don't have the right to bear tanks or highly lethal weaponized drones. I don't think a 3d printed AR mount for the Overlanding drone is going to get very far. I just personally think our "armed civilians" aren't as intimidating to well armed...

    Funny, personal story...

I basically transitioned from latch-key at age 6 to full on feral by age 12. I'd apologize to my parents, but they really have no idea the shit I would get myself into. They didn't see a report card from probably 7th grade on, and my dad didn't know what I was going to college for until he found...

    Proud father moments

My 5 y/o can't hold his bladder at night. We've tried everything...cutting off liquids, the "therapee" buzzer thing, getting him up when we go to bed to pee once more. Still pees 5 out of 7 nights a week. He also doesn't seem to give a shit about wearing a diaper to bed, so why should he care...

Cities vs Urban vs Rural and other culture chat (Mental health - Spin off thread)

I live in east stabbington (south central slc). Honestly, I don't even have a functioning lock on my front door. I literally can't lock my door ha ha. Last year we went camping over the weekend and my kid left the front door wide open and we didn't notice when we pulled out to leave. Kind of...

Cities vs Urban vs Rural and other culture chat (Mental health - Spin off thread)

Culture has no color. A neighborhood can have its own culture, and be full of a divers set of other cultures. I just appreciate that diversity in individual culture. To be fair, I've never lived in those areas I pointed out personally. It's just my observation from visiting them. Flawed...

Ha ha, no homie. One house likes tcby and one prefers Nielsens. Diversity doesn't make culture. Diversity of culture is what I appreciate. I mean, how awesome is it that on the next street down on Halloween there was a house giving out homemade donuts three doors away from the house literally...

Cities vs Urban vs Rural and other culture chat (Mental health - Spin off thread)

2100 s and Highland in sugarhouse are absolutely a disaster right now, and a near disaster even without construction. Any construction on older streets is brutal. At least there are other streets to use. Out west it's one way in and one way out. Big houses are fine, I for sure wish I had an...

Cities vs Urban vs Rural and other culture chat (Mental health - Spin off thread)

I'm definitely of a similar viewpoint as Kurt. Love the convenience of being in a city. I love being close to downtown where there is a diversity of people, culture, food, activities, etc I miss living in downtown proper where I never needed to drive anywhere on days off. Whenever I'm visiting...

    Pellet Smokers; Dumping the Traeger

    How would YOU build a highway-worthy, ultra-cheap 4x4 on 35s?

I think they are probably similar, but modern practical knowledge has changed. When I built my first ZJ, it was like 8" of lift and 33's and that was considered necessary for that tire. The purple 98 ZJ above (and below) pictured about is 4.5" and 35's with, honestly, very little cutting. The...

    How would YOU build a highway-worthy, ultra-cheap 4x4 on 35s?

96+ an aluminum centered d44, which actually isn't the worst axle in the world if you can get over the lack of gearing and locker options. But 4.56's exist, and lunchbox lockers exist. On 35s it's pretty heavy for those axles, but if you're mindful it would work. Would be better on the highway...

Yes, it was the trademark application that sent them the bat signal. Craft beer has always been about local. Locals want to drink local beer, and tourists want to try local beer. Fresh beer is better and local beer is fresher. This beer was conceived to be a Utah beer. We wanted it to be the...

Mental health: it’s ok to talk.

cold plunging is a sure sign of mental illness. I also suffer from many sleepless nights. I'm usually so exhausted by the end of the day that I pass out within minutes, but I'll wake up in the middle of the night and I'm just wide awake thinking of the million things I have to do. It used to...
