    Today I Want This....

This is definitely not an “I can afford it thread”. I do really want it though. It is spendy, but not really that much more than other high end tool boxes.

flipping vehicles is the name of the game right now. Especially if you have a brand new vehicle.

    Tesla Thoughts

Jami picked up a Model S and it is pretty dang fun to drive. Our favorite part by far is not having to go to the gas station. Plug in at home on 220 and we are always charged up.

    Ratcheting Wrenches

I think for the price the combination wrenches from them cannot be beat. I have a full set SAE and Metric in the tool box and a full set in a roll up pouch I take with me in the truck. I think they are the current bang for the buck leader. They have started raising their prices like everyone...

    Ratcheting Wrenches

My first set of ratcheting wrenches (purchased maybe 10 years ago) were gear wrench and I still use them all the time. I bought a second set of gear wrench and they were NOT the same quality. I got rid of them and bought some Tekton reversible ratcheting wrenches. I really like them. They are...

Personal GPS or SAT Trackers (or APRS options) talk

I use the Inreach Mini. A couple summers ago while backpacking the high line trail a friend got a case of altitude sickness. We ended up taking him to a nearer trailhead and his wife met us there for pick up. Without a way to reach her she wouldn't have been able to meet us at the trail head...

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

That is so awesome! I love dividends. They are what really motivated me to start pushing myself to invest as much as I can. Now most of the money I make from side work goes into my dividend portfolio. I love watching them grow and it makes me way less anxious when the market is down because...

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

Got both of my kids (13, 16) set up with a ROTH IRA and it is almost fully funded for the year. I am excited they can have so many years for the compound interest to grow.

    New Cordless Tools

I use makita 18volt stuff and milwaukee 12 volt stuff. I run my 18 volt makita angle grinder pretty hard. I use it almost exclusively even though I have a whole drawer of corded grinders. It is just more convenient. I am not sure about the battery life compared to other cordless, but I have...

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

The AT&T spinoff to cost me a bit of the monthly dividends I have been working toward. It bugs me that they can just spinoff and give me shares of a new company that doesn't pay dividends. Maybe I will sell the spinoff (WBD) and buy a dividend stock I am happy with.

Which 40 is good these days?

I love the way treps work. I don't love that they seem to feather on me. I would run them on an off road rig, but no longer run them on a daily driver.
