Scout is finally getting a rear 4 link

Got it together enough to flex it today. It seems to be working well. I didnt drive it much but it felt a lot different than the leafs. The rear steer is instant now. It felt like it had a kind of lag with the leafs but now its solid. It felt as stable or more so around the corners. I dont...

    LT's Wild RamCharger

I sometimes wish I could go the way of the visa wheeler. Just take my junk to a shop and say this is what I want done and pick it up a few weeks later. Thats no fun tho. I do get a lot of enjoyment out of something that I built works good. It doesnt happen everytime but once in awhile...

    SAS'd The 4runner

How did it drive after the alignment? Any road issues? that SAS kit was a lot more involved than I thought it would be but a dang sweet kit. It had EVERYTHING except the front axle. I was impressed. Eric did 99% of the work and it turned out great. I was a dang good supervisor for...

    Labor day weekend.

We are heading up to the family cabin in the Uintah mountains. If all goes well, I might drag the Scout up. Nothing challenging up there (thats open to public anyway) but it would be fun to cruise around. Also a couple people are bringing 4 wheelers up to mess around on. We have 19 acres...

Scout is finally getting a rear 4 link

yup. coil is attached on both ends. The top is bolted down with a plate. The bottom has 2 loops that the coil twists into to hold it down. even with that tho Im going to need limit straps. A Rockwell and a big ol 47 on a HEAVY wheel will pull that coil into a nice straight piece of...

Are you looking at the stainless steel brake line heading to the caliper on the pinion brake?

Scout is finally getting a rear 4 link

My plan for bump stops is fairly simple. Im going to get the cone looking ones that are about 2 1/2" long. I will mount them on a tube cut to length and mount them inside the coils. They are going to look a little falic but they will work

Scout is finally getting a rear 4 link

I finally broke down and cut my leaf springs off the back. I really liked how the leafs performed but with as soft and flexxy as they were I kept bending them and ruining them. When I went to Fordyce I broke both centering pins on them on a super steep ledge i was trying to climb and I was...

Ford ok no on the 6.0 but how about 7.3l???/

I just sold my 02 with 60,000 miles on it a few months ago. I really miss the truck but not the payment. I got a 02 Cummins and have been happy with it but I do miss my 7.3. Not for towing or anything like that. The dually is way nicer for towing but the Superduty was a nice truck...

Opinions on BIG O BIG FOOT X/T tires

Im running the 33" Toyo MTs on my XJ. I have 30k miles on them and they are still well over half tread! I drive the thing for work every day pulling a little enclosed trailer. They are decent off road but I dont think they can be beat for a dual purpose tire. Granted they are a lot more...
