For Sale 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood, 4 door, 472 big block

Hey yo, I just don't drive this thing. I absolutely love it, it's so much fun to drive. But I realistically only get it out once a month during the summer and not at all during the winter. Someone should buy it, bag it, and then let me drive it once in awhile ;)...

    Dexter Torque Flex axles...lift?

Know a fab guy that might take on the job? ;) This is good info. I wasn't sure if you could just clock them or if they had to be ordered a certain way. I also have heard that Dexter makes a lift for them, but haven't been able to find any other info on that (I haven't called them about it).

    Dexter Torque Flex axles...lift?

I'm looking into a small camping trailer so that I can convince my family to go camping with me more often (they say the best camp accessory is the one that gets you out more...so ya, i'm not happy about it but I'm not happy sitting at home either). One I'm looking at has a torque flex axle...

I don't have a problem with people carrying sandramps, hi lifts, fuel cans, etc. I just think it looks like you're trying to impress someone when you keep them strapped to your rig when you're just driving it around town and to the grocery store.

I have a Garmin InReach instead of a spot or sat phone. Works great when you're out of range and people can reach you in emergencies...or you can reach out. It also tracks and you can navigate to other users point to point, so if a few people have them it makes them even more useful. The other...

Ok, maybe this is a dumb question, but what is the difference between an LDS tour guide and another tour guide besides the obvious?

@DAA, yup the same MH...good old hammerhead 3 which is now the Lookout or something like that. I also have a trango 3, but it's too hot for summer camping and they way the hammerhead zips up, I've opted to leave the bulkier trango tent home the last few years of winter camping. I also have a...

my 2 cents on tents...I use Mountain Hardware mostly.....my 3 man weighs 8 lbs, packs up the size of maybe 2, 2 liter bottles and has withstood sideways rain and gusting winds well above 70mph, cold temperatures and snow below zero, and has enough ventilation for summer camping. I don't know how...

All smart-assery aside, like homefryy mentioned, simplicity of packing/unpacking goes a long way. I have 3 bins and a fridge. 1 bin carries all of the tools and fluids I carry (including a wood saw, hatchet etc), 1 bin carries all of my cooking and camp necessities (stove, 1# propane tanks...

    Post EJS blues...

I stopped going to safari about 15 years ago. I got into 4wheeling to get to more remote places further away from people. Once rock crawling became so popular I moved to more mild camping/exploring kind of stuff. Now that the crowds have turned camping into "overlanding", I'm wondering if it's...

what do you WANT to be doing? (work/life question)

The only problem with this industry, is that you have to be talented/skilled in production, or have the money/wherewithal to open it up yourself and pay someone with the talent/skill. Otherwise you start at the bottom...cleaning kegs and running packaging lines for 12 buck per hour and hope to...

what do you WANT to be doing? (work/life question)

I'm just working on not having to go to work anymore. That's not being done working, just being done having a place of work that I have to go to. If I can cut tether, then I'm more free to travel and spend my time doing more of the things that bring me joy.

So, what if Kurt was with me? If there is a problem with that, it's your problem not ours. ;) Personally, Kurt's grooming habits wouldn't work for me. I'm not into chest hair.

I don't post a lot of social media, but really my only rule for myself is not to post anything incriminating and I try not to post when I'm out of town (why let the world know when nobody is home?). Other than that, I freely share my information. All the data mining that google does? Yes...
