Towing Questions - Read Thread Before Polling

Definitely get a brake controller preferably one that is inertia based not timer based you will thank yourself. In my opinion an Equalizer hitch would be a must for that long of a trip in a coil spring rear suspension vehicle. They tend to perpetuate that wiggle when it comes.

    The upcoming moto ride/quick report.

So, who's down to plan a dual sport camping trip starting in St. George and headed into the desert? Maybe towards Caliente? Griffiths showed me a route that heads there all on dirt and will take the better part of just one day.

    Adventure Bike

So, weird to say it, but I've been riding this lots more than my 300 lately. It's nice to just take off from the house and head to the hills. I'm thinking about planning a longer trip to hit some warmer weather. Does anyone want to go do a dual sport ride starting in St. George and heading...

    Building a Bobber.

Thanks Greg. Hmmm... I've got a spare set of 7/8" moto bars I could cut narrower and try it, I think it would make me lean pretty far forward though, so for now I think I'll just ride it. I only had 14 miles on it (& a couple burnouts) before I tore it down. I had to try REALLY really hard...

    Building a Bobber.

So I rode it around for one day and decided I don't really like the stock gold wheels. Here I go. Prep for wheels is pretty involved if you want the paint to stick. I'm using a VHT epoxy that is pretty tough but flexible to avoid rock chips. I taped off a nice lip for an accent and because...

And it's done! Apart from a blinker relay I'm going to replace or likely I'll build a new section of harness with new digital relays and better quality wiring than the 1980's stuff that's in there now.

Jeep Commander 5.7 thoughts. 6.0 Tahoe or yukon or 8.1 suburban?

I assumed as much, I was joking about just putting Tahoe badges on it and don't tell her it's longer.

Jeep Commander 5.7 thoughts. 6.0 Tahoe or yukon or 8.1 suburban?

She won't drive a Suburban but will drive a Tahoe? Rebadge the Suburban as a Tahoe XL. I'd love a Hemi Commander, they're on my short list.

Factory Five's '35 Ford Hot Rod Truck

Also I assume by the looks of it they are using mustang knuckle/ spindles so 5x4.5 is a more difficult pattern to get to on a 9" vs. 8.8. That would be so fun to build.

    Another KX250 Project...

This one sold! I've got another KX 125 I'm building now. It's all done a week ago actually except for a new linkage I had to order off eBay since the previous owner decided to ride it without a lower shock bearing and it ovaled out the linkage...lame.

    Building a Bobber.

More tin work to cover the battery box. It didn't come with the stock plastic covers- and I dislike them: they're all bubbly looking. This narrows up the bodywork significantly. I filled all the holes in the rear fender, body worked it, primed and painted the strip at...

What do I get for the next bike?

I love them. So much better than stock. Bigger too! Supposedly the rubber mount cuts down on vibs, can't say I've noticed too much difference, but it can't hurt.
