    Miller Motorsports Park craziness

Not to jump in here, but this is actually true. You might not "feel" like you're putting one culture in a secondary or inferior place because of your position, but that doesn't mean it isn't happening. It's a systematic hegemony that we don't even notice, but still exists in our language and...

    Roto-Mold Coolers

I'm sure these are a chinese knock-off, but I honestly don't know for certain. I'll see what I can do about getting dimensions on them.

    Roto-Mold Coolers

I'm not in the 4x4 industry per se, but one of my vendors just started carrying roto-mold coolers. I thought I would offer a group buy on them in here. I'm really not looking to make much money on them, and my plan is to just stick them on a pallet when I bring shipments of other stuff from my...

Paging the car-audio/ICE experts. Is there a head unit that mirrors your phone/tablet?

If you don't want/need the audio processing functions of a deck, then don't run one. I do, so I'll probably stick with my original plan and do that alpine deck. If you bypass the deck, then be sure to use that line driver setup so that you have decent input voltage going to the amp.

Paging the car-audio/ICE experts. Is there a head unit that mirrors your phone/tablet?

Hey JL, Out of curiosity, how do you think the audio quality would be running that blue tooth setup and the line driver/level control for source compared to running something like the alpine UTE-52BT? http://alpine-usa.com/product/view/ute-52bt I've got a JL 5 channel digital amp, and...

    Advice Needed - Considering F800GS

Commuting on the freeway on the 800 wouldn't be ideal for all the reasons Greg said. That being said, buy my bike. :D

    Becoming a minimalist

Being that I live in 660 square feet, I've done pretty well downsizing my stuff. When I moved last time I ended up loading lots of big bags of clothes. It came down to "have I worn this in the last 6 months" and if the answer was no, and it had no "significant" sentimental value, it was gone. I...

    Rental Property Advice

Now the heavy hitter finance guys are here. Good stuff. sure, and there are other things I'm sure I'm missing as well. We also have to remember that owning a property, rental or not, for 30 years also means at some point you'll need to go through some of the larger expenses. Roofing, HVAC...

    Rental Property Advice

I'm not sure I follow this; maybe you can help? As I understand it, there is no situation where you pay interest on an amount of money you borrow, and come out ahead because you can avoid taxes on that percentage of your income. The interest is always (because of a linear relationship)...

    Rental Property Advice

That's good advice. I'm 4.5 years in and finally starting to see a tiny amount of income, but not enough to offset the cost or work. I would sell it if I could, but haven't had the money to cover the difference between what I owe and what I can sell for. I'm actually pretty close now, and will...

    Rental Property Advice

My advice is not to do it. If you can make 20+% on top of your mortgage, and you can get a good, respectful tenant, then great. But neither of those are guarantees, particularly the 2nd one. I've had a couple good tenants, and a really bad one. The bad one cost me about 20k to fix, on top...
