For the trailer that you build, just have your mounts for the RTT bolt on and off.. Something similar to what Kurt uses in the bed of his truck to mount his RTT. That way you could put it on when you need it, and take it off when you need to.

I swapped my stock 265/75/16 road tires on OEM aluminum wheels, for 10 ply 235/85/16 MT's on steelies.. I've only lost about 1 mpg. So, while heavier than the stock setup I feel that I have a more stout combo than the OE equipment. I'd rather have a dependable setup and lose an mpg or two.
